Job summary

Voyager Technologies, based in Pittsburgh, is seeking a Project Manager to shape the future of lunar technologies and missions. You will define end-to-end mission concepts for NASA, government, and commercial customers, influencing architectures and roadmaps for next-generation lunar landers and spacecraft.

This role is based in Pittsburgh, PA and can be onsite or remote, offering the chance to lead cross-functional teams and deliver mission-critical solutions in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 5–10 years in a relevant role.
• Advanced degree may substitute for experience.
• Experience creating proposals and presenting to customers.
• Experience authoring and decomposing financial and contractual volumes.
• Strong understanding of launch, space and lunar environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop program budgets and schedules for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft.
• Support proposal content creation for mission opportunities and internal development programs.
• Contribute to programmatic topics such as schedules, resourcing, risks, and budgets estimations.
• Communicate with engineering disciplines, partners, customers, and vendors to resolve technical risks.
• Build out bottom-up estimates, including BOM, cash flow models, and labor estimates.
• Occasionally participate in visits and technical interchange meetings with customers, supply chain, and partner organizations.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align schedules and budgets with mission needs and roadmaps.
• Run internal early tech development projects and paid architecture studies, managing budget/schedule/deliverables.

Job Summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to help shape the future of lunar technologies and missions. Advanced Programs leads the company’s earliest stage work, from mission concept definition and long-term technology road mapping to hands on development of breakthrough technologies that will power our next generation of lunar landers, surface systems, and spacecraft. In this role, you will define end-to-end mission concepts for NASA, government, and commercial customers, directly influencing the technologies and architectures that will drive Astrobotic’s future lunar pursuits.

This position is based out of Pittsburgh, PA and can be either onsite or remote.

Job responsibilities:

• Develop program budgets and schedules for new concepts and designs of lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft.
• Support proposal content creation for mission opportunities and internal development programs.
• Contribute to programmatic topics such as schedules, resourcing, risks, and budgets estimations.
• Communicate with other engineering disciplines, partners, customers, and vendors to resolve technical risks and challenges.
• Build out bottoms up estimates, including bill of materials, cash flow models, and labor estimates.
• Occasionally participate in visits and technical interchange meetings with customers, supply chain, and partner organizations.
• Participate in cross functional team meetings to ensure project schedules and budgets comply with mission and business needs and company technology roadmap.
• Run internal early technology development projects and paid architecture studies, performing project management over budget, schedule, deliverables, and customer interfacing.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or similar related discipline plus 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience. Relevant advanced degree will be considered in lieu of equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in project or program management, project finance, and program planning.
• Experience developing programmatic content for proposals and external customer presentations.
• Experience authoring and decomposing financial and contractual volumes.
• Strong understanding of the launch, space, and lunar environments.

Desired Qualifications

• Understanding of full development lifecycle of large complex aerospace systems.
• Experience with large NASA or other USG proposals and contracts.
• Knowledge of NASA/industry engineering standards.
• Demonstrated experience working in an agile environment, using organizational tools such as Confluence and Jira.
• Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
