Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking a seasoned Proposal Writer to lead large, national RFP efforts and produce high-quality responses aligned with policy and client needs.

You will collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Underwriting, and other teams to define strategy, gather information from SMEs, and manage multiple proposals under tight deadlines. Remote-friendly within the continental US (excluding CA, NY, AK, HI).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field with 5+ years in national/public sector proposals
• Experience leading high-profile, complex national RFPs for large employer groups
• Ability quickly reviewing solicitations and pulling out pertinent information
• Autonomously lead and develop highly customized proposal responses
• Strong written and verbal communication and cross-functional teamwork

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFPs to interpret requirements, terms, and submission instructions
• Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Underwriting, and stakeholders on strategy
• Write, edit, and package responses to RFPs under deadlines
• Manage multiple RFPs/projects simultaneously
• Mentor junior Proposal Writers
• Develop and maintain proposal-ready content libraries
