Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an Executive Underwriter to manage a significant portion of the Major Accounts Property portfolio in the Central Region. You will analyze exposures, pricing targets, and program structure for complex monoline property accounts with TIVs of at least $100m and an average premium around $1m.

Collaborating with Risk Engineering, you will build a profitable book, mentor peers, and lead relationships with brokers and clients while maintaining top-tier underwriting

Qualifications

• Prior single carrier property underwriting experience preferred.
• Experience with property risk engineering or loss prevention preferred.
• Property facultative reinsurance or shared/ layer property experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Manages portfolio of brokers/agents & clients to underwrite profitable business for Liberty.
• Maintains relationships with senior brokers and agents to strengthen market presence.
• Articulates coverage differences with detailed input into planning and uses data-driven insights from portfolio analysis.
• Collaborates across departments on underwriting and process excellence projects.
• Mentors and trains other underwriters and internal partners.
• Shares technical underwriting knowledge and compliance with regulatory expectations.
