Qualifications

• Extensive underwriting experience of large multi-national accounts.
• Property insurance experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills including product and industry.
• Demonstrated ability to represent AXA XL with appropriate gravitas, professionalism and sound judgment.
• Robust analytical and problem solving skills as well as outstanding sales and marketing abilities.
• Robust organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills combined with an outstanding work ethic.
• Ability to develop and understand business processes, strategy and planning

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and service a renewal book and produce new business in accordance with business unit goals.
• Represent AXA XL in client meetings with senior Fortune 500 and broker senior executives.
• Calculate appropriate risk premium and exercise judgment in risk analysis.
• Participate in roundtable discussions on risk assessment.
• Negotiate with producers within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with underwriting standards.
• Build and enhance relationships with brokers and clients and identify new distribution relationships.
• Maintain expertise with products, services, priorities and target markets to help clients uncover hidden risks.
• Promote the company's expertise by participating in industry conferences and events and leading client/broker meetings on risk.
• Maintain compliance with underwriting guidelines and legal requirements.
• Support planning and forecasting; monitor financial exposure and premium income within limits.
• Maintain awareness of all claims and assist in settlements.
• Identify and drive new product development; cross-market with AXA XL lines; cultivate broker relationships in the region.
• Work collaboratively in a team with underwriters and management.
