Planet Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Property Tax Lead Analyst to own compliance and strategic planning for a select portfolio of complex properties. You will manage real and business personal property tax compliance, valuations, and reporting, collaborating with plant operations, corporate accounting, and consultants.

The role requires advanced tax knowledge, independent results delivery, and strong judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive real estate and business personal property tax compliance experience in mining/manufacturing.
• Experience handling multistate appeals, including Texas.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with JDE, BlackLine, and PTMS property tax software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across organization levels.
• CMI or CPA preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Manage multi-state real estate and business personal property tax compliance for a complex portfolio, ensuring regulatory filing deadlines.
• Identify and pursue property tax savings opportunities.
• Independently manage the valuation appeal process for complex jurisdictions.
• Oversee monthly property tax accruals, forecasts, and true-ups using JDE and BlackLine.
• Analyze property tax data with Excel and PTMS to prepare reports and insights on liabilities and savings.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and taxing jurisdictions.
• Ensure SOX compliance and adherence to company policies.
