Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP) is seeking a Property Tax Senior for our State & Local Tax team in California. You will review fixed asset details, resolve data issues with the tax team, and use Avalara to prepare property tax renditions for clients across Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail and Healthcare.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, 2+ years of relevant experience, and CPA eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
2+ years' of relevant experience required.
Experience in business consulting or services preferred.
CPA eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

Review fixed asset detail documents submitted by clients required for property tax renditions.
Work with client and property tax team to resolve identified data issues.
Receive training on Avalara software.
Utilize Avalara to prepare and review property tax renditions.
Work with clients from multiple industries, including Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare.
Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed.
Review and resolve property tax notices received from Assessors.
Identify discrepancies where filing an appeal may be required.
Develop and train team associates and interns to help them build inspired careers.
Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results.
