Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join the Accounting team. You will prepare property tax declarations, process bill-backs to dealers, agents, and tenants, and reconcile related general ledger accounts.

You will also review site changes impacting property tax accounting. This role requires 3–5 years of property tax experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, and strong analytical, communication, and deadline-driven skills.

Qualifications

• Accounting and G/L experience, knowledge of PDI accounting system and Oracle Cloud
• 3–5 years of experience in property tax compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field preferred
• OneSource Property Tax System is preferred

• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review property tax compliance, including declarations
• Prepare bill back of property taxes to dealers, agents, and tenants and the reconciliation of associated trial balance accounts
• Review site summaries for changes that impact property tax accounting (terminations, purchases, sales, dealer/agent changes, etc.)
• Assist with integration of property tax accounting for new sites, including acquisitions
• Track and process property tax bills for payments
• Prepare consolidated prepaid property tax reconciliations
• Assist with property tax audits, including communication with auditors and responding to information requests
• Obtain property tax workpapers and property tax assessment values and file appeals as needed
• Assist with responses to internal audit requests
• Prepare property tax pro-rates for Legal Department for site sales
• Collaborate with internal departments as well as municipalities, landlords, agents, etc. to resolve property tax issues
• Assist with special projects, such as 1099 data collection and property tax abatements
