Job summary

AIG is seeking a Sr. Property & Specialty Claims Adjuster to join the Claims Department. You will manage complex property and specialty claims, conduct coverage analyses, and coordinate direct and reinsurance components.

The role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to mentor junior team members. Preferred candidates hold an Adjuster’s license and bilingual English/Spanish abilities, with a focus on accuracy, regulatory compliance, and exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; vast experience in claims handling is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with attention to detail.
• Bilingual English and Spanish; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex Property & Specialty claims including commercial property and catastrophe losses.
• Conduct detailed coverage analysis and interpret policy language and endorsements.
• Lead negotiations with insureds, brokers, vendors, and legal representatives to achieve fair outcomes.
• Maintain accurate digital claim files and support surge operations during high volume periods.
