Job summary

WC Smith is hiring a Property Manager to oversee Manor Village Apartments in the District of Columbia. The role emphasizes leadership of operations, leasing, resident relations, rent collection, and vendor coordination, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and a safe, well-maintained community.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of Property Manager experience, strong communication, organizational skills, and knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of Property Manager experience.
• Experience managing at least 200 units.
• Strong interpersonal, leasing, customer service and resident relations experience.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of overall operations for the property.
• Serve as primary contact for residents, vendors and contractors.
• Maintain high occupancy through leasing and retention.
• Collect rent, monitor delinquencies, and follow collection procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and oversee vendor performance.
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain standards.
• Respond to resident concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain resident files and property records.
• Prepare reports and complete administrative tasks on time.
• Ensure compliance with policies, housing regulations, and Fair Housing.
• Foster a welcoming community and lead a team of staff.
• Manage financial performance within the budget.
