Job summary

The Bachrach Group seeks a Senior Property Manager to oversee multiple multifamily properties in Westchester, NY and a manufactured home community in Stuyvesant, NY. The role includes operations, budgeting, and maximizing tenant satisfaction while driving occupancy and revenue.

Qualified candidates have 7–10 years in property management, with leadership experience and a Bachelor’s in real estate or business. Travel to Stuyvesant is required ~2/3 times a month; CPM/CAM is a plus.

Job description

The Senior Property Manager will be responsible for the daily operations, financial performance, and overall success of multiple multifamily properties and a manufactured home community.

In addition to traditional apartment operations, the role includes upholding community standards, selling homes, and driving infill of vacant home sites.

This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of property management best practices, and a commitment to enhancing tenant satisfaction while maximizing NOI and property value.

Property Locations: Multifamily properties based in Westchester, NY and single-family manufactured housing based in Stuyvesant, NY. Travel to Stuyvesant would be ~2/3 times a month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Property Operations: Oversee the day-to-day management of assigned properties, ensuring high levels of tenant satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Financial Management: Develop and manage property budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure rent collection, expense control, and NOI optimization.
• Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and manage on-site property staff, including leasing agents and maintenance personnel.
• Leasing & Occupancy: Implement effective leasing strategies to maintain high occupancy rates and minimize turnover.
• Maintenance & Capital Improvements: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance programs.
• Tenant Relations: Foster strong tenant relationships by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a positive living experience.
• Manufactured Home Community: Oversee operations of the company’s manufactured home community, including enforcing community standards and site guidelines, marketing and selling new and pre-owned homes, and driving infill of vacant home sites to grow occupancy and revenue.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, including fair housing laws and safety standards.
• Reporting & Technology: Utilize property management software (e.g., Rent Manager) to track property performance and generate reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 7–10 years in property management, preferably with multifamily assets, and at least 2 years in a leadership role. Manufactured housing community experience, including home sales, is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, or a related field (preferred).
• Certifications: CPM, CAM, or similar designations are a plus.
• Skills: Strong financial acumen, problem-solving abilities, and experience using property management software.
• Proven track record: Demonstrated success in optimizing property performance, increasing NOI, and leading teams effectively.
• Technological Proficiency: Strong computer skills and the ability to easily learn new platforms.

Manufactured housing experience not required. Would need to be comfortable traveling to two separate property locations (my client would cover travel expenses as well as adjust schedules for days after long travel).
