Our client is a fully integrated commercial real estate investment firm specializing in the acquisition, redevelopment, and management of retail shopping centers, industrial warehouses, and various other commercial property types, with an investment footprint across the United States. Our client is seeking a Senior Property Manager to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$85k - $100k
Position Overview:
The Senior Property Manager will join a growing commercial real estate team and oversee property management activities across a diverse portfolio.
Responsibilities of the Senior Property Manager:
- Build and lead a property management team overseeing both internally owned and third-party managed properties.
- Oversee financial and variance reporting, annual budgeting, forecasting, and CAM reconciliations in coordination with Accounting.
- Ensure lease agreements are current and enforced, and negotiate property management and vendor contracts to protect the Company's interests.
- Develop and maintain property management systems, policies, and procedures, and support marketing of third-party management services to prospective clients.
- Serve as a key point of contact for ownership and prospective clients, including participation in annual budget meetings and oversight of property management activities across all markets.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Property Manager:
- Strong organizational skills and a customer-service orientation.
- Strong written, oral, and reading communication skills, including experience preparing and presenting internal and external presentations.
- Knowledge of local real estate laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team-building and performance management.
- Exceptional underwriting and financial modeling (Excel) skills, with experience supporting annual budgets, leasing analysis, cash flow projections, and capital project execution.
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate property management and lease administration.
- 6 - 10 years of property management experience.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Property Manager:
- Yardi property management software experience.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
