Job summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to oversee maintenance across one or more residential sites. Responsibilities include coordinating work orders, supervising technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of maintenance experience in residential properties, proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and related trades, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade-related or technical training in maintenance areas.
• Experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and related trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in maintenance projects across units, buildings and common areas.
• Schedule and prioritize work orders and coordinate contractor activities.
• Maintain stock and train maintenance staff.
• Keep records of preventive maintenance, inspections, and inventories.
• Perform light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and custodial tasks as needed.
• Assist with annual inspections and move-in/move-out inspections.
• Work on on-call schedule for evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ensure safety, building codes compliance, and proper use of equipment.
