Job summary

Trinity Property Consultants in Chicago is seeking a Chief Engineer to manage and optimize the operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, elevators, and other building systems across our multifamily portfolio.

The role requires leadership to resolve escalated issues, drive continuous process improvements, and develop team members while maintaining high service standards for residents, investors, and partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of maintenance experience in Multifamily or Hospitality.
• Advanced experience in two or more trades: electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, etc.
• Working knowledge of appliances.

Responsibilities

• Set scope, technical specs, budget tracking, schedule, and vendor bidding for maintenance projects.
• Oversee preventative maintenance to ensure safety and operations meet procedures.
• Lead maintenance team scheduling, duties, and performance development.
