Sompo is seeking a Claims Adjuster for its Property Casualty Claims team. The role involves managing a claims caseload, investigating and resolving claims, and maintaining documentation across multiple office locations in the United States.

Licenses for NY and Florida are required, with additional state licenses expected. The position offers a broad opportunities for collaboration with brokers, clients, and underwriting teams.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of property casualty claims experience.
• New York and Florida adjuster licenses required; additional state licenses expected.
• Strong investigative, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims in accordance with policy terms, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze coverage issues, establish reserves, and manage disputed or material claims through resolution.
• Review claim estimates, billings, and related documentation to support accurate claim handling and financial outcomes.
• Identify and pursue subrogation, contribution, and other recovery opportunities when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and claims system records while providing timely claims information and responsive service to brokers, clients, underwriters, and other business stakeholders.
