Job summary

Crawford & Company is seeking a Sr. Executive General Adjuster to resolve complex commercial property losses often exceeding $500,000. The role involves investigating damages, negotiating with corporate management, brokers, and legal representatives, and presenting evidence in proceedings.

The Senior EGA may manage national accounts, contribute to industry presentations, and mentor staff, with opportunities for leadership within Global Technical Services.

Qualifications

• Two years college or equivalent education required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for advancement.
• Extensive experience adjusting complex property or liability claims (>10 years).
• Excellent knowledge of interpreting insurance coverage, customs and practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Examines claims forms, policies and endorsements to determine coverage.
• Interviews claimants, witnesses and others; reviews reports and evidence.
• Sets estimated loss values for clients.
• Prepares client reports with required information for agencies and Crawford & Company.
• Communicates adjustment recommendations after determining liability.
• Represents Crawford & Company as an expert witness when required.
