Job summary

Sedgwick in Seattle is seeking a Sr Desk Adjuster to investigate and adjust residential and commercial property and casualty claims with minimal supervision.

You will inspect claims, determine coverage, prepare repair estimates, interview claimants and witnesses, and negotiate settlements while maintaining client relationships. This role demands strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited college preferred.
• IIA-AIC designation required.
• Appropriate state adjuster license required.
• Two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects claims and contacts involved parties in a timely manner.
• Investigates circumstances of claim(s) for coverage determination, cause, and damages/reserves.
• Examines insurance policies and records to determine coverage.
• Prepares estimates for cost of repair and/or replacement.
• Conducts interviews with claimants and witnesses.
• Negotiates and settles both 1st and 3rd party claims.
• Maintains client relationships to assure repeated business referrals.
