Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services seeks an experienced property claims professional in the United States to manage medium to large complex property claims with substantial direct client contact. You will analyze coverage, coordinate with brokers, adjusters and counsel, and prepare loss valuations while guiding settlements and protecting clients' interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight (8) or more years related work experience, brokerage or carrier experience.
• In depth knowledge of all commonly encountered P&C insurance coverage and Risk Management concepts and techniques.
• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
• Associate in Claims-American Institute for Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (AICPU).
• Accredited Accounts Receivable Manager (ARM).
• Valid Fire and Casualty Broker – Agent license.

Responsibilities

• Manages claims status and prompts various parties to take next step; including prepayment, partial payment, gather information, work with subrogation contacts.
• Partners with client legal counsel on coverage, claims and strategy for settlement;
• Manages primarily medium to large, complex Property claims;
• Oversees claims data in database including updates, runs, analysis and information for underwriting/client review;
• Prepares coverage arguments for client advocacy and form coverage positions;
• Provides adequate coverage/policy interpretation for large property and casualty claims;
• Prepares and analyzes loss valuations;
• Attends claims meetings with clients, carriers, legal counsel and adjusters to review status;
• Provides follow-up calls, written correspondence and keep records for clients;
• Partners with client on case preparation and support as needed;
• Uses negotiation skills to provide best possible outcome for clients;
• Builds relationships with carriers, adjusters and clients;
• Develops training materials for coverage reviews and loss reporting procedures;
• Delivers claims training in person and on client site as needed;
• Complies with data standards and integrity;
• Other duties as assigned
