Job summary

Starr Insurance is seeking a Senior General Adjuster to lead complex property claim investigations and claim management in the United States. You will apply policy knowledge, assess coverage, and work with insureds and markets to drive effective resolutions.

The role requires coordinating with independent adjusters and underwriters, traveling to loss sites as needed (about 10% of the time), and delivering clear, well-written communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience handling Property claims.
• Proven ability to manage claims administration in a system.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Experience coordinating with independent adjusters and underwriters.

Responsibilities

• Manage all claims administration functions in the claims system.
• Handle files with independent adjusters by providing direction to the adjuster on coverage and measurement of the claim.
• Ability to evaluate policy coverage and communicate with Insureds and work with other insurance companies who participate on the risk.
• Work with Underwriters on policy coverage and assist on policy wordings.
• Travel to loss sites and meetings with Insureds and market members in the adjustment of the claim with approx. 10% travel.
• Looking for a minimum of 5 years experience in the handling of Property claims.
