Job summary

CRMG is seeking an experienced Senior Affordable Accountant to oversee critical accounting functions across a property portfolio. The role emphasizes financial reporting, GL management, month-end close, budgeting support, affordable audits, and internal controls, with strong emphasis on Yardi software proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree is required.
• 5+ years of Yardi Property Management software experience preferred.
• Experience in affordable housing or subsidies is required.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, TEAMS).
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks with strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close for property accounts and ensure accuracy.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for accounting processes and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist staff with complex financial matters and navigate company policies.
• Set up bank access for portfolio properties and publish monthly AP check run schedule.
• Recruiting, supervising, training, disciplinary actions, and staff reviews.
