Job summary

YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish is hiring a Property Accountant to manage a portfolio of 16+ affordable housing properties, with 944+ units across Seattle, King and Snohomish counties. You will use Yardi to handle rent, subsidies, AR/AP, reconciliations, and monthly closings, collaborating with managers and the Finance team.

You will contribute to financial stewardship, resolve discrepancies, and support LIHTC-related rent changes while maintaining strong internal controls in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting/finance or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in housing/affordable housing.
• Experience using Yardi for property accounting and reporting.
• Knowledge of tenant rent, rental assistance, and LIHTC terminology.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile tenant rent, subsidies, and other income in Yardi.
• Reconcile rent rolls, ledgers, and subsidy receivables to GL.
• Process and review invoices, AP transactions, and monthly closings.
• Prepare routine financial statements, budgets, and variance reports.
• Explain accounting information clearly to property managers and housing staff.
• Maintain confidential resident and financial information.
