Job summary

Jobot in Cincinnati (hybrid schedule) is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to manage property and commercial real estate accounting, prepare financial statements, analyze budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance. Daily use of Yardi is required.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of CRE/property accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, Excel proficiency, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; master's or CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years in property and commercial real estate accounting.
• Yardi software proficiency required.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proactive with issue identification and solutions.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Construction industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of property accounting, including financial statements, budget analysis, and forecasting.
• Oversee commercial real estate accounting with timely reporting.
• Utilize Yardi for financial management and reporting.
• Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accuracy of reports.
• Review property and portfolio level financial statements.
• Assist with annual budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with external auditors for audits and compliance.
• Interact with management to provide financial analyses, reports, and recommendations.
