Job Description:

The Accountant II will oversee full-cycle property accounting for a diverse portfolio. This role requires hands-on financial management including monthly close processes, financial reporting, variance analysis, and collaboration across departments to support property operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete monthly close procedures and prepare financial reports for multiple properties
• Post accruals, reconcile accounts, and analyze budget-to-actual variances
• Assist with quarterly reporting and schedules related to SEC filings
• Coordinate with property managers and tenants to resolve billing or account issues
• Review and abstract lease agreements for financial accuracy
• Support junior staff and collaborate with internal teams on financial matters
• Participate in special accounting projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, specifically within property or construction industries
• Full-cycle accounting knowledge across multiple entities or portfolios
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office tools
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional demeanor suitable for a polished corporate environment
• Experience with YARDI software is a huge plus
