Addison Group is seeking a Senior Property Accountant for a Seattle, WA portfolio in a direct hire role. Hybrid after 60 days onsite, with a base salary of $110k–$130k and full benefits.

The position requires 4+ years in commercial real estate accounting, US GAAP expertise, and experience with Yardi systems, CAM, and budgeting. You will oversee month-end closes, prepare property financial statements, and collaborate with property managers to explain results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in commercial real estate.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with monthly close and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with CAM, property taxes, and tenant recoveries.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager and PayScan.
• Experience with office, retail, industrial, or multifamily properties.
• CAM experience is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversee accounting functions for an assigned portfolio of commercial properties.
• Complete month-end close activities and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
• Prepare property-level financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and reforecasting.
• Account for operating expenses, CAM charges, property taxes, insurance, and tenant recoveries.
• Assist with annual CAM reconciliations and tenant recovery calculations.
• Assist with accounting system upgrades, testing, and process enhancements.
• Partner with Property Managers to explain financial results and provide accounting guidance.
• Review work prepared by junior accounting staff and provide coaching when appropriate.
• Assist accounting leadership with special projects, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives.

Our real estate client is an established commercial real estate organization managing a diverse portfolio of properties and is seeking a Senior Property Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting functions for an assigned portfolio of commercial properties.
