Abacus Group is seeking a Senior Property Accountant for a real estate client in Manhattan, NY. The role emphasizes month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and coordination of audits in a dynamic real estate environment.

You will support the Controller, handle CAM and tax reconciliations, and ensure accurate A/R/A/P, with strong emphasis on timely statements and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of real estate accounting experience.
• Detail-oriented and highly analytical.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Yardi experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Support the Controller in managing all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, and A/P.
• Coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and analyze variances.
• Prepare and publish timely financial statements.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, including coordination of annual audits.
• Facilitate the month-end and year-end close process, including cash reconciliations.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Reconcile tenant CAM and real estate tax accounts.
• Perform additional assistant controller duties as necessary.
