Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Property Accountant to join our Real estate client's finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial obligations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This position requires strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.

Note: This is a permanent opening.

Duties

• Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, lien waivers, expense reports, and payment requests for multiple projects
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with AIA regulations.
• Prepare journal entries and billing reconciliations for construction projects.
• Utilize Spectrum accounting software for data entry and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
• Assist with month-end closing processes and provide support during audits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a property accountant or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in real estate/construction accounting software (Timberline, Yardi, or Spectrum is a plus).
• Strong understanding of account reconciliation processes and AIA compliance.
• Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with journal entries and general accounting principles is preferred.
