Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Coda search is leading a search for a national real estate firm with offices located in Morris County, NJ. This is a vertically integrated real estate company that develops, manages, and owns a variety of commercial, residential, and mixed-use properties across the nation. The team is looking to onboard a Senior Property Accountant that will oversee a portfolio of properties including preparing the financial statements, managing the GL, and preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis on each property. The Senior Property Accountant will also be responsible for mentoring junior staff members and helping to improve processes and procedures across the group.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly financial reporting package and financial statement preparation
• Manage the GL and reconcile discrepancies
• Prepare budgets and forecasts for each property
• Prepare monthly cashflow reports for senior leadership
• Review cash applications
• Assist with the annual audit and prepare any supporting documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance
• 4+ years of property accounting experience
• Prior property accounting experience (commercial/residential a plus)
• Ability to manage multiple properties and stakeholders
• Yardi or MRI experience a plus
