Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Propellant Engineer to lead high-impact defense engineering initiatives focused on propellant manufacturing and energetic material processes. You will mentor engineers, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and oversee complex production efforts in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with extensive experience and the ability to obtain at least an Interim U.S.

Qualifications

• Leads teams and mentoring across multi-disciplinary projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects (government, contractors, vendors).
• Process safety and regulatory compliance expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe and cost-effective execution of manufacturing operations in complex production environments.
• Plan and oversee engineering projects, including scheduling, procurement, and execution.
• Develop process designs, flow diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical oversight and troubleshoot process issues.
• Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and program managers.
• Participate in client-facing meetings to present updates and technical insights.
• Train and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Support facility and process design for new manufacturing capabilities.
• Contribute to test plans and proof-of-concept validations.
