Job summary

Mutaform Llc is seeking a Prop Artist to join a team creating set pieces for AAA and AA projects. You will handle the full asset cycle, from reference breakdown to final in-engine delivery, while aligning with the project art direction.

Responsibilities include creating hero props for close shots and varied-density background assets, maintaining modularity for level building, and enforcing poly budgets and material counts. A strong portfolio with game-ready props is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in game production on props and hard-surface.
• Portfolio with game-ready props, not just renders.
• Experience with PBR materials across metal, wood, fabric, plastic.
• Ability to follow art direction within technical limits.
• Portfolio walkthrough of wireframes and UVs optional.

Responsibilities

• Full prop cycle from reference breakdown to modeling and UVs.
• Create hero objects and background props with appropriate detail density.
• Ensure modularity and reuse for level building.
• Meet poly budgets, texel density, and material counts.
• Sign-off in engine including lighting and material behavior.
• Deliver clean naming and clean scenes for client integration.
