Job summary

Cenovus Energy is seeking a Specialist, Projects Design Quality to ensure high‑quality engineering solutions across U.S. Downstream assets.

The role drives the Project Engineering Management System, oversees internal and external engineering resources, and ensures compliance with project requirements to enable safe construction and asset performance. The successful candidate will collaborate with project leaders and supply chain to optimize contracting and service agreements, while promoting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 12+ years in refinery or similar oil/petrochemical environment including project engineering/management.
• Experience coordinating internal and contracted engineering resources with compliance focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Project Engineering Management System with processes, standards and governance.
• Provide oversight of project discipline engineering resources and external providers.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with standards, regulations and project requirements.
• Collaborate with Project/Technical Leaders on resource planning and performance management.
• Work with Supply Chain and Project Leadership on contracting strategies and service agreements.
• Conduct engineering assurance audits and address non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Monitor engineering performance metrics and advise on risk and continuous improvement.
