Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks a Senior Project Surveyor to lead survey project delivery, mentor staff, and drive quality across engagements. You will interpret plans, manage CAD data, and coordinate with clients and teams to ensure accurate, on-time results.

This role emphasizes field-to-office workflow, with opportunities to contribute to proposals, attendance at meetings, and cross-office collaboration. Travel and hybrid work options may be required based on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of office surveying experience with increasing responsibility.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or LSIT highly desired.
• Proficient in CAD software, especially Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Deep understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Willingness to travel to job sites and BKF offices.

Responsibilities

• Preparing construction staking calculations by reading plans and interpreting CAD files.
• Creating mapping deliverables including boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, plats, and legal descriptions.
• Post-processing field data collected via total station, GPS, levels, 3D laser scanners, and unmanned aerial systems.
• Building 3D models of sites and structures for owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Travel to various job sites and offices may be required.
• Lead and initiate special projects as needed.
• May require flexible hours.
• Travel between BKF offices and other off-site locations may be required.
