Job summary

SME Industries, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Project Support to lead the Project Support function within the Project Management Department. You will mentor APMs and PAs, maintain process discipline, and ensure alignment between PMs and support teams to achieve precision, transparency, and collaboration.

You will develop SOPs, oversee staffing, and drive continuous improvement across all project support activities, partnering with PMs and other departments to deliver consistent results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction project management or coordination.
• 2+ years in supervisory or management roles.
• Experience in commercial construction and metal structures preferred.
• Experience developing and maintaining SOPs and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise all Assistant Project Managers and Project Assistants.
• Define performance expectations and accountability standards.
• Oversee onboarding, training, and professional development.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for APM/PA functions.
• Coordinate workload planning and staffing with VP of Project Management.
• Monitor metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Represent teams in leadership meetings and coordinate with PMs, Contracts, Production, and Field Operations.
