Job summary

Reed Construction in Chicago seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead day-to-day site operations on large commercial projects. You will oversee scheduling, coordination, safety, and quality control to ensure work is performed to Reed Construction’s high standards.

You will collaborate with project management and subcontractors, manage permits and COIs, and mentor on-site teams to meet deadlines and budgets. This full-time, on-site role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a superintendent role.
• Experience on large projects is required.
• Able to lead on-site teams and manage multiple deadlines.
• Punctual and focused on quality and safety.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and maintain positive on-site morale.
• Coordinate subcontractor work and all on-site operations.
• Ensure safety compliance, permits, COIs, and reporting.
• Attend meetings with project staff, owners, and architects.
• Utilize project management software for real-time data.
