Piper Companies is seeking a Project Scheduler for a contract opportunity based in Clayton, NC. You will partner with a major capital project team, providing owner-side schedule oversight, evaluating project performance, and identifying risks that could impact milestones on a large-scale construction initiative.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project scheduling experience on large capital construction or industrial projects.
• Experience reviewing and challenging contractor schedules on behalf of owner or PM team.
• Strong CPM understanding, schedule forecasting, progress measurement and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an integrated project schedule combining contractor activities, owner deliverables, interface milestones, and critical deadlines.
• Evaluate contractor schedules for logic, sequencing, durations, and milestone forecasts.
• Verify reported progress with stakeholders and field teams; assess schedule accuracy and forecasts.
• Analyze critical path, float trends, variances, and delays; provide mitigation and recovery recommendations.
• Prepare schedule dashboards, look-ahead reports, and scenario analyses to support decisions.
