Job summary

The Haskell Company is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Safety Coordinator to oversee project-based safety, enforce the Code of Safe Practices, and drive hazard mitigation across nationwide projects with travel requirements.

The role requires several years of construction safety leadership, OSHA 500 or equivalent certification, and strong communication to coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of active construction safety experience with a recognized safety certification, or 5–7 years without certification with ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Demonstrated leadership as a Senior Project Safety Coordinator on at least three projects totaling 24 months.
• Experience supporting Advanced Technology, Mission Critical, Manufacturing and Industrial Water markets.
• Completion of OSHA Course #500.
• Possession of a recognized safety certification such as STS, CSST, or CSSS through BCSP or NCCER, or ability to obtain one within the required timeframe.
• Strong understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial safety audits and establish inspection schedules within project mobilization timelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and orientations for site personnel.
• Support safety administration including accident investigations, documentation, and reporting.
• Develop and deliver project-specific safety training and mitigate hazards.
• Communicate safety concerns and report trends to Safety Manager; complete SERs every six weeks.
• Enforce safety policies and conduct incident investigations with timely follow-up actions.
