Job summary

AVANGRID POWER, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Risk Manager to develop and champion risk policies, build risk models, and lead risk management across interconnection, development, construction, procurement, financial, and operational risks.

You will identify, assess, and organize key risks for projects while collaborating with stakeholders across the firm. The role demands strong quantitative skills and proactive leadership in a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent) in related field; Advanced degree, PMP/PMI certification preferred.
• Familiarity with renewable construction and project development preferred.
• Strong quantitative skills with ability to produce spreadsheets, data modelling, and database queries.

Responsibilities

• Implement an overall risk management process for the organization.
• Prepare risk registers for key projects, track risks and mitigations through project life.
• Organize and communicate portfolio risks to senior management.
• Create business continuity plans to mitigate risks.
• Review major contracts or internal proposals/models.
• Educate wider company about risk, contingency, uncertainty around projects.
• Provide guidance and reduce uncertainty during the project lifecycle to stakeholders.
• Ensure thorough understanding of risk management complexities and communicate training as appropriate.
• Provide risk management tools and techniques to stakeholders for cost and schedules accuracy.
• Use a structured risk management approach for high-quality decision making.
• Manage daily risk management processes to ensure adherence.
• Audit and verify metrics to ensure ongoing alignment and updates.
