Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Project Quality Manager III to lead quality across a portfolio of capital projects. The role builds the quality system, directs Project Quality Managers, and sets supplier standards while representing the client in regulatory audits.

You will own corrective-action closure, report risk and quality costs to executives, and guide staff across programs under NQA-1/API/DOT frameworks. Expect travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in quality on capital projects.
• 5+ years directing quality programs and staff.
• ASQ CMQ-OE or CQA certification and ISO 9001 lead auditor.
• NQA-1 lead auditor qualification is a strong plus.
• Experience as the quality authority on regulated programs (nuclear, energy, transportation, or federal).
• Executive-level communication and the judgment to stop work when record demands it.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the program quality management system, procedures, and audit program.
• Direct Project Quality Managers across projects; set standards, review performance, and develop staff.
• Own supplier and contractor qualification, approved vendor list, and quality requirements in procurement.
• Represent the client in regulatory, certification, and third-party audits; own corrective-action closure.
• Report quality performance, risk, and cost of quality to executive leadership.
• Engage in audits with regulators and ensure alignment with QA frameworks and client expectations.
• Lead field visits to verify the system is being followed and oversee nonconformance decisions.
