Job summary

Ormat is seeking a senior procurement leader to organize and control project procurement for U.S. projects, optimizing processes and supplier management. You will coordinate with Construction, Engineering, O&M, and Finance to align with schedules and commercial requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master’s degree with 10–15 years of procurement experience, 5–7 years in management, and strong negotiation skills. Travel up to 50% and ERP/SAP proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Economy, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
• 10–15 years of procurement experience including project procurement in construction/utilities/infra.
• 5–7 years in management or supervisory roles.
• Proficiency with ERP (SAP) and MS Office suite required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, optimize, and control project procurement to maximize value.
• Lead procurement for major categories: foundation, construction, civil, electrical, utilities, equipment, staffing, crane rental, permitting, and consulting.
• Develop and implement project-specific procurement strategies with Global Procurement and Project Management.
• Issue RFPs/RFQs, evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and resolve procurement challenges.
• Manage supplier performance and master data; ensure compliant documentation and delivery obligations.
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, O&M, Project Management, Finance, Logistics, and site teams.
• Oversee expediting, monitor delivery milestones, and address schedule risks.
• Coach Buyer I and project procurement staff; participate in HR decisions as needed.
