Job summary

Ormat Technologies, Inc. is seeking a senior-level Project Procurement professional to orchestrate procurement activities across U.S. projects, aligning with schedules, budgets, and company policies. You will drive supplier performance, develop procurement strategies, and manage complex bids and negotiations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), 10–15 years in procurement, and 5–7 years of leadership experience. Travel up to 50% and ERP proficiency (SAP) are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, optimize, and control project procurement results to increase value added.
• Lead procurement for major project categories including construction materials, civil works, mechanical/electrical services, utilities, equipment, and consulting.
• Develop and implement project-specific procurement strategies with Global Procurement and Project Management.
• Initiate procurement processes, issue RFPs/RFQs, evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and resolve challenges.
• Manage supplier performance and develop master supplier data.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and documentation standards.
• Coordinate procurement activities with Construction, Engineering, O&M, Project Management, Finance, Logistics, and site teams.
• Oversee expediting and monitor delivery milestones; address schedule risks.
• Provide coaching to Buyer I and project procurement staff.
• Support development of procurement procedures and operational tools.
• Involve in HR matters including hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions with plant management.
• Travel up to 50% as required.
