Job summary

Dowbuilt seeks a Project Principal to lead client relationships and project delivery in Miami and Palm Beach. You’ll partner with regional leadership to guide preconstruction, execution, risk management, and transitions to service, traveling 50–75% as needed.

The role demands a minimum of 10 years in construction management, a strong grasp of design processes, and the ability to marshal teams across multiple projects and locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in construction management.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible construction management experience.
• Experience leading complex projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong understanding of architectural, engineering, and design processes.
• Familiarity with permitting, inspections, and jurisdictional approval processes.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with project management and collaboration platforms (Smartsheet, Egnyte, Slack, Procore).
• Strategic thinking, financial acumen, and risk management capability.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior client relationship manager and executive point of contact for project stakeholders.
• Lead preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, and overall project strategy.
• Maintain visible, engaged presence with clients, architects, and field teams.
• Support Project Managers and Superintendents in stakeholder communication and issue resolution.
• Ensure alignment of decisions with project goals, budgets, and client expectations.
• Participate in project kickoffs, reviews, milestones, and closeout activities.
• Ensure smooth transitions to the Service Department.
