Job summary

JGMS Government Services LLC seeks a proactive Project Planning and Controls Specialist to develop and manage cost plans and schedules. You will partner with technical leads and the business team to provide variance analysis and guide project decisions.

This on-site role spans a 2-3 year contract with rigorous cost control and schedule governance. You will verify estimates, monitor budgets, and support proactive change control while communicating clearly with stakeholders and managers to keep

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of the Nuclear Weapons Product Realization Process (Systems and components).
• Experience in schedule development and maintenance including building and updating project timelines, tracking milestones and deliverables, and using Primavera P6.
• Resource loading to enable accurate allocation and leveling of resources, ensuring realistic schedules, cost control, risk mitigation, and effective project execution.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Active DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, prepare, validate, and maintain cost estimates, baseline budgets, work package agreements, and monthly cost variance reports.
• Provide detailed analysis and reporting of project status within the project controls system.
• Forecast to identify issues before they become problems and support timely solutions.
• Develop and monitor project schedule; manage integrated change control with technical leads and managers.
• Collaborate with PMs, leads, and managers to influence decisions on WBS, schedule, and budget/cost.
• Build and status schedules, generate budget profiles, and support project teams.
• Develop EAC using project controls tools; present data from multiple sources on demand.
• Research and evaluate project information to recommend practical solutions.
