Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with analytical or precision scales preferred.
• Warehouse, distribution, laboratory, or production experience preferred.
• Inventory control experience preferred.
• Experience handling chemicals or working in regulated environments preferred.
• Prior leadership, training, or mentoring experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Frequent use of PPE and handling of chemical materials.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production and order fulfillment at the Cumberland, MD facility.
• Serve as primary contact for key customer projects; coordinate work orders and oversee inventory.
• Prepare and distribute daily work orders to production staff.
• Coordinate receipt, storage, and shipment of chemical compounds.
• Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and records.
• Process client weigh requests and perform tare weighing.
• Follow SOPs and quality procedures while meeting deadlines.
• Assist the Site Manager with day-to-day production operations.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and process improvements.
• Handle chemicals safely and wear PPE as required.
• Follow safety procedures and compliance standards.

Specialty Chemical Company is seeking a Project Order Associate to join their team on a contract to hire basis! This role would lead and support production and order fulfillment activities, in a client facing role.This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in order management, production coordination, project coordination, shipping/receiving or chemical manufacturingwho enjoys working cross-functionally and directly with clients.
