Job Opportunity: Senior Engineer - Water & Wastewater

Brown and Caldwell (BC) is seeking a senior-level engineer experienced in managing and executing water and wastewater projects. This key role in our Southern California (SoCal) Area involves client relationship management, project leadership, and collaboration with technical and business teams. The position is based in Irvine, Los Angeles, or San Diego, California.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and execute wastewater and water utility projects.
2. Conduct technical research and apply findings effectively.
3. Lead project planning, design, and coordination of studies.
4. Present to clients and professional audiences.
5. Oversee work of drafters, designers, and technical staff.
6. Support business development efforts.
7. Mentor junior engineers and designers.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related; Master’s preferred.
2. At least 10 years’ experience in municipal water/wastewater engineering.
3. PE license in California or ability to obtain within 12 months.
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
5. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; PMP certification is a plus.
7. Proven project management experience on large municipal projects.
8. Strong planning, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
9. Motivated, results-oriented self-starter.

Additional Information:

Salary range: $160,000 - $200,000, depending on experience and location.
