Ready to shape the future of water infrastructure? ms consultants is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and innovative Senior Project Manager to join our Water Business Unit. Specifically, ms consultants has an opportunity in the Pittsburgh (western Pennsylvania) area to lead a $130 million, complex drinking water treatment plant upgrade project. This position would help lead the design effort and be a valuable member of the design team. What You’ll Do:

This role will serve as an integral member of the Water Business Unit. The Water Business Unit provides complete drinking water, wastewater, and water resources engineering services to municipal, industrial, and private clients. These services include planning, management, design, analysis, and permitting for maintaining these essential systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading project management activities across a variety of water-focused projects.
  • Overseeing project planning, execution, and design processes to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to produce deliverables that exceed client expectations.
  • Providing technical expertise in design and analysis, tackling challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Engaging directly with clients to foster strong relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Managing QA/QC reviews, guaranteeing all deliverables meet rigorous quality standards.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and technical staff on the project team, nurturing the next generation of talent.
  • Taking on additional duties and contributing to the success of the Water Business Unit.
What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field from an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License, preferably in Pennsylvania or able to obtain through reciprocity within 12 months.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations.
  • Experience designing complex water treatment facilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, balancing project priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
