Your Opportunity

As a Senior Project Manager, Water, you will work on exciting and complex projects, focusing on Project Leadership, Business Development, and Seller/Do-er roles. You will collaborate with senior leaders at Stantec.

The Senior Project Manager, Water, is responsible for leading the pursuit and delivery of excellent work, driving business growth, and leveraging technical skills, industry knowledge, and relationships to win work that transforms our business and inspires our people. You will work closely with account managers, business developers, Sector Leaders, and project managers to identify and manage key accounts, pursue opportunities, and gather client feedback. You will also partner with leadership to inspire, engage, and build a high-performing business culture.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Design and oversee complex projects involving potable water, wastewater, sewage disposal, or flood prevention using advanced engineering principles.
2. Lead pursuits and campaigns for major opportunities, engaging in relationship development, positioning, and teaming.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with strategic partners and clients to expand business opportunities.
4. Maintain strong client relationships and identify strategic approaches with key clients.
5. Manage one or more key client accounts.
6. Drive project delivery and excellence, overseeing project execution, QAQC, and technical quality.
7. Review contracts, fees, and proposals in collaboration with risk management.
8. Support marketing and business development efforts, including proposal writing and client negotiations.
9. Represent projects in client meetings and foster ongoing relationships.
10. Mentor and lead junior staff, providing technical guidance.
11. Investigate and advise on complex water/wastewater engineering problems.
12. Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches.
13. Lead proposal development and contract negotiations.
14. Contribute to developing standards and specifications for water/wastewater design.
15. Serve as engineer of record for your work products.

Qualifications

Your Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
• Experience designing water/wastewater conveyance and treatment projects.
• Experience with water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio.
