Job summary

Qualus Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and manage advisory, engineering, EP, and EPC projects across substations, transmission, telecoms, and renewable energy interconnections. You will drive scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk, coordinating cross‑disciplinary teams and managing client relationships while mentoring junior staff.

Occasional travel is required. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering (Electrical or Civil) with 7–10 years in utility-scale electrical

Qualifications

• The Senior Project Manager is expected to bring advanced knowledge to complete a project design from start to finish.
• Ideal candidates will have a BS in Engineering, Electrical or Civil (preferred).
• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in utility-scale electrical projects, including substation and transmission design or related technical area.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems, utility interconnection requirements, renewable energy, and large load industrial infrastructure.
• Strong competence in applying theories and principles involved in project management.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex engineering projects across substation design, transmission, telecommunications, renewable energy interconnections, electric utilities and large load industrial facilities.
• Coordinate project teams, documents and drawings to ensure schedules are met.
• Manage project scope, budget, scheduling, and change control throughout the lifecycle.
• Support procurement and construction activities including site construction managers.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external partners.
• Support proposal development including scope, cost, schedule and vendor quotes.
• Coordinate environmental permitting and land rights as needed.
• Mentor junior staff on project management best practices.
• Participate in internal process improvements and development of project control standards.
• Travel 1–2 times per month for site and client meetings.
