Location: Colorado Springs or Denver

Compensation Range: $140,000-$190,000 (FLSA Exempt). Final pay rate will be determined based on internal equity, skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

Job Summary

Basis Partners Transportation Design Team is growing! This role will work closely with our Design Leads and Engineers to support the firm's growth by providing:

1. Project management leadership
2. Business development
3. People/team leadership
4. Department operations and planning

The position involves collaborating with the Transportation Design Practice Lead on pursuits, client relationships, project delivery, and strategic planning. It includes managing project teams through the entire project lifecycle, from proposal development to completion, ensuring technical and contractual standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management: Leading transportation projects of various sizes, approximately 50% of the time.
2. Business Development: Managing project pursuits, maintaining industry relationships, and leading proposal efforts (~35%).
3. Staff Management & Operations: Supervising teams, overseeing operations, and talent acquisition (~15%).

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, P.E. license in Colorado or ability to obtain
• 10+ years of experience, including 6+ years in project management and business development
• Proven leadership in transportation design projects, expertise in drainage, structures, traffic, or roadway
• Experience working with CDOT and local agencies
• Strong client relationship skills and ability to develop new markets
