This role involves managing assigned projects throughout their lifecycle, including developing scopes, technical sections of proposals, participating in contract negotiations, and overseeing project delivery to meet HNTB’s 4 for 4 performance standards: quality, timeliness, budget, and client satisfaction. The position requires proactive management of budgets, schedules, technical and contractual requirements, and client communications. It includes high-level technical tasks and managing design specifications, calculations, reports, and plans, coordinating with internal and external teams to resolve design issues. Typically, the Sr Project Manager manages multi-disciplinary teams for projects ranging from $1M to $25M.

What You'll Do:

• Develop project scope and fee quotations; assist with technical proposals and contracts following HNTB's approach.
• Serve as the primary client contact; manage project teams to deliver scope, schedule, and budget; lead contract negotiations.
• Perform technical tasks including analysis, reports, design, and specifications.
• Implement and lead the project delivery plan using HNTB's methodologies; supervise and mentor team members.
• Oversee staffing, recruitment, development, and performance reviews of project personnel.
• Support business development efforts, build client relationships, and lead proposal and presentation efforts for major projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 12 years of relevant experience.
• At least 4 years managing engineering projects successfully.

What You'll Bring:

• Proven success in delivering large, complex projects on time, on budget, with high quality and client satisfaction; capable of managing risks and changes.
• Experience leading large teams, including external consultants.
• Proficiency with project management tools and systems for complex projects.
• Experience leading HNTB's project delivery processes.
• Ability to serve as the main client interface.
• Talent deployment and development of successors for ongoing client work.

What We Prefer:

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
