Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for our Thermal Energy project portfolio. You will supervise client communications, provide progress reports, and ensure budgets, schedules, and quality plans are met.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, trade partners, and the project team to deliver successful outcomes. The role requires 15+ years in heavy construction, a BS in construction management or engineering, and strong leadership to manage risks and keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in thermal energy projects (H-Class or large-class).
• Excellent organizational skills with strong contract and legal understanding.
• Ability to adapt to new processes and perspectives on challenges.
• Proven multitasking and prioritization while maintaining client relationships.
• Strong trade partner management and adherence to high-quality standards.
• Urgency in resolving issues with a firm yet fair approach.
• Ability to travel; travel may be required with company support.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates coordination meetings with the project team from preconstruction to close-out.
• Oversee procurement, bidding strategy, work scopes, pre-bid meetings, and bid evaluation.
• Develop project schedule and jobsite setup, including mobilization and permit management.
• Manage general conditions budget, cash flow analysis, and monitor costs for profitability.
• Assist the General Superintendent with owner issues and subcontractor communications.
• Coordinate team members and resources, supervise jobsite staff, monitor schedule compliance.
• Build effective relationships with clients and Barton Malow team members.
• Administer financial aspects of owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
