Job summary

Saalex Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Operations Manager (Finance) to provide technical leadership for SSAT programs in Camarillo, CA. This role blends systems engineering with project management for Navy test and evaluation environments.

The position is full-time, onsite, with occasional travel to Point Mugu, CA and China Lake, CA. Active secret clearance and DoD experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in systems engineering or technical PM in defense environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with government stakeholders.
• Strong ability to translate complex requirements into actionable plans.
• Proficiency in creating executive-level presentations and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical project planning, scheduling, and systems engineering activities.
• Develop detailed schedules, milestones, and dependencies across contracts.
• Manage scope, risks, and mitigations; report to leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate documentation, software configurations, and system baselines.
• Support lifecycle management for target platforms and flight software.
• Serve as primary liaison between Government, contractors, and OEMs.
• Facilitate technical meetings, reviews, and executive briefings.
• Develop executive reports, metrics, and customer-facing briefings.
• Coordinate asset management, logistics, and process improvements.
