Responsibilities & Other

The Senior Project Manager oversees highly complex projects or programs, providing strategic direction, managing multiple teams, and ensuring successful project delivery. Key skills include extensive knowledge of high and medium-high voltage substation engineering, proficiency in analysis tools like CDEGS, and a strong grasp of industry standards such as NESC, IEC, IEEE.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all project aspects, including technical staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Developing and communicating project management plans, scope, schedule, and budgets.
  • Ensuring quality standards, safety compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Mentoring lower-level project managers and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Financial management, including estimating, contract negotiations, and cost control.
  • Business development activities such as identifying opportunities and participating in industry events.
  • Technical oversight, including site visits, design reviews, and issue resolution.

Qualifications

Education & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 6 years of experience or 10 years of equivalent experience.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Proven track record managing large projects, with strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and industry standards.

Certificates & Licenses:

  • PE license in at least one state, with the ability to license in others.
  • Completion of KCI PM and Contract Training or ability to complete within six months.

Additional requirements include pre-employment drug screening, background, and motor vehicle checks as applicable.
